2014 ''Business on the Green'' - SPCC Golfers

The Portage County Business Council will hold their Ambassadors Club 25th annual golf outing, Business on the Green at two golf courses. The event, to be held with a shotgun start at the Stevens Point Country Club at 9:30 AM on Monday, June 2nd will happen simultaneously at the Wisconsin River Golf Club and the Stevens Point Country Club. 

19^th Hole Networking at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center, 1001 Amber Avenue, Stevens Point will take place at 3:00 PM with a plentiful picnic buffet style service featuring BBQ Pulled Pork (with Kaiser buns), Tomato Bruschetta Chicken Breast, Vegetarian Pasta Primavera, Golden American Potato Salad, Fruit Salad and delicious assorted Mini Desserts and beverages, raffle prizes, and awards to entertain those attending.

Golfers in this years’ outing have the opportunity to choose from two highly rated Wisconsin courses.  The Wisconsin River Golf Club is a public golf course set amid the picturesque Wisconsin River.  The 18-hole course offers rustic river views surrounded by wildlife. The Stevens Point Country Club, a private course built in 1925, is an 18-hole Bent grass course and home of the 2000 Wisconsin State Open.

Business on the Green provides an opportunity to network while golfing with customers, employees and other Portage County businesses. This is also the only fund raising event sponsored by the Ambassador’s Club, the outreach arm of the Business Council. Proceeds from the event fund new programming for businesses across the county.

This event is open to Business Council members, their colleagues and the public. Cost per player is $125.00.
