Description
The UWSP Museum of Natural History’s 11th annual Collection Crawl is on Saturday, April 4th, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Collection Crawl is the Museum’s annual open house where we have artifacts from all of our 11 collections out on display for the public. This year’s featured collection is Herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians, curated by Dr. Peter Zani. Grab a passport in Albertson Hall (University Library) and travel around to our collections to see behind-the-scenes! Participate in junior curator activities, collect a stamp from each collection and bring it back to Albertson Hall for a prize! Other activities include a special herpetology scavenger hunt, crafts, live Madagascar hissing cockroaches, live reptiles and amphibians from the UWSP Herpetology Society with education shows at 10, 11, and 12, and UWSP Planetarium shows at 10, 11, and 12. The Museum will also have surprise guests (live educational animals) in the Museum’s gift shop! This event is free, open to the public, and accessible.
