BUSINESS X-CHANGE - December 9, 2015
Business X-Change meets regularly throughout the year at the Portage County Business Council office. A roundtable series of meetings that allows business owners and their employees the opportunity to discuss pertinent topics, learn from local industry leaders and, most importantly, learn from each other.
There is no cost to attend and a continental breakfast is included.

Topic: Project SEARCH: How to Empower Youth with Disabilities

Sara Beguhn, Vocational Coordinator - Innovative Services, Inc.
About the Program: Attendees will be provided an overview of Project SEARCH which is a nation-wide internship program for high school students with disabilities. The program will also show how local businesses can become involved by helping mentor the students in employment related skills.

About our Speaker:
For the past 15+ years Sara has worked with people who have disabilities in various capacities. After receiving a Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation from UW-Stout in 2008, Sara became certified as a Vocational Evaluator and Rehabilitation Counselor. Since then she has been focusing on helping individuals with disabilities obtain employment by empowering them to find their strengths and interest areas. Today, Sara works as a Vocational Coordinator for Innovative Services, Inc., and continues to help individuals achieve their goals.
About Innovative Services:
Innovative Services started in 2004 in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area with the mission and vision to give those with developmental disabilities the best quality of life in the community. Innovative Services has continued to grow throughout the state of Wisconsin, with regional administrative offices in Green Bay, Appleton, Stevens Point and La Crosse. Although the organization started out working primarily with individuals with developmental disabilities, they have expanded their supports to people of all ages with varying needs.
