Description
The Portage County Business Council will hold their Ambassadors Club 29th annual golf outing, Business on the Green at two golf courses. The event will have a shotgun start at the Stevens Point Country Club at 10 AM on Monday, June 5th (SentryWorld will have a shotgun start of 9:30 AM).
The 19th Hole Networking dinner, with the theme "Monopoly Madness at PCBC Railroad" will take place at 3PM at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center.
The event will feature a cash bar, a plentiful buffet style dinner including Carolina Avenue Pulled Pork Sliders, Oriental Avenue Asian Cabbage Rolls, Mediterranean Avenue Hummus and Pita Chips, Kentucky Avenue Bourbon Meatballs, Atlantic Avenue Smoked Salmon Dip, Delicious Pennsylvania Place Chocolate Mousse for Dessert, prize giveaways, raffles and awards to entertain those attending.
Golfers in this years’ outing have the opportunity to choose from two highly rated Wisconsin courses. The Stevens Point Country Club, a beautifully redesigned private course built in 1925, is an 18-hole Bent grass course and home of the 2000 Wisconsin State Open. SentryWorld is a corporately owned public golf course and sports complex. This Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed course features the stunning signature flower hole harboring 50,000 flowers.
Business on the Green provides an opportunity to network while golfing with customers, employees and other Portage County businesses. This is also the only fund raising event sponsored by the Ambassador’s Club, the outreach arm of the Business Council. Proceeds from the event fund new programming for businesses across the county.
This event is open to Business Council members, their colleagues and the public. Cost per player is $130.00 at the Stevens Point Country Club and $150.00 at SentryWorld.
