SMALL BUSINESS X-CHANGE – March 11, 2015
Small Business X-Change meets regularly throughout the year at the Portage County Business Council office. A roundtable series of meetings that allows business owners and their employees the opportunity to discuss pertinent topics, learn from local industry leaders and, most importantly, learn from each other.
There is no cost to attend and a continental breakfast is included.
7:30-8:30 am in the Portage County Business Council Foundation Room
Topic: “Farming, Conservation and Preservation”
Presented by:
Gary Wysocki, Partner in the Wysocki Family of Companies
In June of 2012, the Wysocki Family submitted plans for a 3,500 cow dairy to be located in the Town of Saratoga in south Wood County on land formerly owned by a paper company for production of their raw product. The plan was met with great resistance. Gary will share the plan, how a Dairy integrates with row crop farming in the Central Sands of Wisconsin, and the past and ongoing challenges of the project.
About our Speaker: Gary Wysocki is one of 6 partners in the Wysocki Family of Companies, which includes Wysocki Produce Farm, Paragon Potato Farms and RPE, a produce sales and marketing firm. From a foundation in crop production focusing on potatoes the company has expanded into a leading production and marketing firm. Now farming 13,000 acres of crops, the company has added a large dairy to its operation to complete its vision of "Full Circle Farming".
Special THANK YOU to Paragon Farms / Wysocki Family of Companies for their sponsorship of this program.
