The Portage County Business Council will hold their Ambassadors Club 37th annual golf outing, Business on the Green to be held at the Stevens Point Country Club and Wisconsin River Golf Club Courses on Monday, June 1, 2026. The event will have a 9:00AM shotgun start.

Business on the Green provides an opportunity to network while golfing with customers, employees and other Portage County businesses. This is also a fund raising event sponsored by the Ambassador's Club, the outreach arm of the Business Council. Proceeds from the event fund new programming for businesses across the county.

This event is open to Business Council members, their colleagues and the public. Cost per player at the Stevens Point Country Club is $225.00/golfer. Cost per player at the Wisconsin River Golf Club is $140.00/golfer.

• Donations at Metro Market in Stevens Point will go directly to Operation Bootstrap and Community Thrift Food Pantry

Starting June 8th, both Metro Market locations will offer prepackaged $5 donation bags filled with non-perishable food items — making it easy to give back.

Get Out of My Swamp! (And Into the Party)

Layers of fun await at the ultimate Shrek-themed celebration.

Somebody once told us a party was brewing, and we’re hitting the ground running. Whether you're an ogre, a talking donkey, a sharp-shooting princess, or a vertically challenged lord, it’s time to leave Far Far Away behind and head straight into the swamp for a night of legendary proportions. Bring your friends, your sense of humor, and leave your pitchforks at home!

Dress Code: Fairytale Chic

Dust off your brown vests, green face paint, or royal gowns as costumes are highly encouraged! Come as your favorite character—be it an ogre, donkey, fairy godmother or gingerbread man. If all else fails, just wear your finest fairytale attire!
 

This themed event is family friendly from 4-8pm. 8pm and after will be 18+. There will be two different wristbands available, one for over 21 and one for under; both will be provided and enforced by staff.

Join us for our monthly membership meeting, held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Bill Cook Chapter of the Izaak Walton League.
