Financial Associate II (Clerk of Courts)

Job Description
This position provides intermediate accounting and financial services, along with collections support functions, for the Clerk of Courts Office and the Family Court Commissioner.  This position assists in the administration of the standard operation policies and procedures of the Clerk of Courts per Wis. Stats. 59.40, 753.30, and 814.60 to 814.63.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required and one year of technical/college training in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field
  • Two years’ experience in accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, etc.) required, preferably in a government setting
  • Two years’ experience in the legal field preferred
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal and financial background check
  • Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle for business related travel
 Typical Starting Salary:  $17.39/hour
