Job Description
General Description
This position is responsible for providing assistance to employees regarding human resources programs, policies and
procedures, processing changes in the Human Resources Management System (HRMS), coordinating employee leaves of absence
requests and disability claims and providing support within Human Resources.

 Respond promptly to HR Service Center employee questions or concerns on human resources programs, policies and
procedures via in-person, e-mail or telephone
 Research or seek out answers to employee questions or concerns as necessary
 Process employee changes in the HRMS system, including all new hires, promotions/transfer, terminations, wage/salary
adjustments and bonuses
 Coordinate WFMLA, FMLA, Medical Leave of Absence or Requests for Accommodation requests and recordkeeping
 Process short and long term disability claims calculating benefit payments
 Process tax withholding and direct deposits for new hires and changes
 Process child support payments, wage attachments, garnishments and levies
 Process verification of employment requests
 Process Life Events and verify monthly employee benefit plan payments
 Prepare Human Resource reports from the HRMS on the established periodic basis or as requested
 Coordinate paid time off programs including cash out or carry over program provisions
 Assist with wellness program including annual biometric screening, risk assessments, reporting and annual wellness plan
 Process worker’s compensation claims and complete necessary OSHA reporting
 Maintain health insurance waiver, internet and cell phone reimbursement eligibility payments
 Administer COBRA compliance for qualifying employee benefit plans
 Coordinate Employee Photo Directory including annual photo retake opportunity
 Provide Talent Management support; scheduling phone screens and interviews as requested
 Schedule Human Resources meetings; Retirement Enrollment, Investment Committee, Leadership Orientation and
Employee History, Mission & Values and Strategic Plan Orientation sessions
 Schedule Special Event committee meetings and coordinate employee events and activities
 Special projects and other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Personal Requirements
 Associate’s degree in Human Resources or business related and/or equivalent experience in a related business environment
 Two years of progressive work experience in human resources, including work processes using a HRMS
 Must be willing to obtain SHRM, HRCI or CEBS certification
 Computer skills, including experience with MS Office Suite applications with proficiency in Excel
 Analytical and problem-solving abilities including math skills with the ability to calculate rates, ratios and percentages
 Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
 Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
 Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
 Self-motivated and directed; able to take initiative with projects
 Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
 Strong customer service orientation
 Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
 Ability to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other computer components

Work Conditions
 Work hours average 40-45 per week with occasional overtime, nights and weekends to meet deadlines or to coordinate special events
 General office working conditions which may require sitting for extended periods of time
