Job Description

ABR is recruiting a Part-Time Accounting Administrator for the Community Foundation in Central Wisconsin.

The Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the quality of life of Central Wisconsin. We work with our donors to support a variety of philanthropic efforts in our community, including scholarships and grants that support Arts and Culture, Education, Wellness the Environment and Helping People.

Purpose: To maintain and monitor the Foundation’s financial, investment, personnel/employee benefit systems, donor communications and reporting in adherence to Foundation policies.

Accounting:

  • Prepare monthly bank and investment reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable
  • Implement cash management system
  • Maintain W-9 records for vendors; prepare vendor information for annual 1099 filing
  • Calculate fund fees and annual allocations
  • Prepare quarterly fund statements
  • File sales and use tax
  • Manage balances to/from checking and investment pools
  • Assist with annual budget preparation
  • Generate monthly budget reports
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly investment reports
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and records
Audit:
  • Compile necessary documentation in preparation for annual independent audit and tax return
  • Point of contact with auditors throughout audit process
Payroll:
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax filings
  • Record employee time off
Cash Disbursements Processing:
  • Request and process quarterly Administrative fees from Investment Managers
  • Generate all cash disbursements, including fund reimbursements, scholarship and grant payments
Donor Relations:
  • Prepare quarterly fund statements
  • Assist donors with inquiries and special requests
AA/EOE

Experience:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of two years of experience in general accounting and/or audit experience
Qualifications:
  • Proficient with QuickBooks, MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience in Fund Accounting a plus
  • Ability to learn Foundation database
  • Analytical and detail oriented

Additional Information:
  • Hours: 20-24 hours per week
  • The Foundation office is open Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Fridays 8:30am-12:00PM. Schedule will be adjusted to accommodate hours in this time period.
  • Attend/assist at 2-3 after-hours functions throughout the year
