Job Description
The Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the quality of life of Central Wisconsin. We work with our donors to support a variety of philanthropic efforts in our community, including scholarships and grants that support Arts and Culture, Education, Wellness the Environment and Helping People.

The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and community-minded individual for the part time position of Administrative and Donor Services Assistant.
Primary Functions:
  • Assist donors and the public with questions about the Foundation
  • Respond to donor inquiries on gift history and fund balance
  • Create and manage donor profiles in Foundation database
  • Process incoming gifts and make bank deposits
  • Generate and mail gift acknowledgement letters
  • Maintain gift records in accordance with auditor recommendations
  • Welcome guests to the office
  • Answer and direct incoming calls in a friendly and personable manner
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning and filing
  • Support Executive Director in project and event support
  • Support Board of Directors through scheduling meetings, preparing the agenda, minutes, board and committee rosters, meeting timelines, and orientation materials
  • Draft Foundation correspondence
  • Oversee monthly newspaper feature articles
  • Event planning and general support, including invitations, budget, menu, sponsorships and onsite assistance.
  • Handle projects as assigned
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 1-hour lunch

Key Qualifications:
  • Strong Commitment to Customer Service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Typing/keyboarding skills
  • Good with numbers
  • Ability to adapt/learn new computer software and business processes
  • Organized with a high level of detail orientation
  • Strong Computer Skills - Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Event planning experience
  • Valid driver's license and transportation for making deposits and picking up mail
  • Strong commitment to teamwork
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible
  • Comfortable working with confidential information
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
