Job Description
This position is responsible for all paper and electronic filing, answering telephones, counter work, receipting, correspondence and mail for the Clerk of Courts Office and Family Court Commissioner and is responsible for maintaining and monitoring cases filed with the Clerk of Circuit Courts office.
In addition, this position assists all clerks and takes appearances on court actions in which the presiding judge is not present.  This position also assists with the Portage County Law Library receiving, filing and maintaining publications and computer access work and acts as a Passport Filing Agent.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
One year of accredited college or technical school in Legal, Business, Public Administration or related field preferred. 
Work experience in a related legal field, or experience in a Clerk of Courts Department preferred.

Starting wage: $15.77/hour (2018 rate: $16.09/hr)
