Benefits Specialist Temporary Assistance
Start Sept. 16th, 2019 – would likely be on through January 24, 2020
Job Duties
  • Collaborate with Benefits Manager on annual open enrollment
    • coordinate open enrollment activities
    • prepares communication site (HR InTouch/Benefitfocus)
    • system testing
  • 401(k)
    • Monitor deferral changes and loans in payroll system
    • quarterly audit
    • maintain files
  • Collaborate with outside benefit vendors for various programs
    • Participation in vendor calls
  • Wellness
    • administrative duties for health and wellness
    • facilitate wellness education sessions
    • coordinate wellness activities (annual health screenings, flu shots, etc.) between employees and vendors
    • assist with coordination, implementation, and management of incentives
    • Note: new Virgin Pulse software implementation in progress – go live October 1, 2019
  • Communications
    • Draft communications for wellness
    • Assist with communications for health/open enrollment
    • Assist with new hire orientation
  • Benefit Invoices
    • Prepare check requests and forward for approval and payment
  • Commuter Benefits Administration
  • COBRA Administration
  • Other - Assist with coordination of some company functions/holiday activities if/as needed
