Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting the Purchasing Department in providing effective and efficient procurement services to Portage County.  These functions include, but are not limited to, processing requisitions, auditing procurement card transactions, processing purchase orders, sending out and tracking bids, proposals, and quotes, receiving and arranging delivery of merchandise, assisting County departments with procurement needs, coordinating common use equipment and photocopy room equipment.  This position also serves as the receptionist for the Purchasing Department.   

Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2. One year prior office experience required.

3. Purchasing experience preferred.

Starting wage: $16.89/hour.
Part time: 20 hours/week (4hours/day Monday through Friday)
