Customer Service Specialist

Position is offered as full-time. Working hours are: Monday-Thursday 7:45am-5:15pm, Friday 7:45am-6:15pm and approximately one Saturday per month 7:45am-12:15pm.

Start Date: as soon as possible 

Starting Pay: $12.00-$14.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers
  • Wait on customers inside the lobby and drive thru.
  • Process variety of teller transactions: deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, change orders, loan payments, loan advances, credit card payments, etc.
  • Maintain a supply of cash at limit and counts and bands incoming and outgoing cash.
  • Balance currency.
  • Operate the coin counter.
  • Answer phones in a professional manner by the third ring, determines nature of business, helps customer immediately, and directs caller or takes written messages to the appropriate employee and/or assists customer inquiry.
  • Follow security procedures and maintains confidentiality.
  • Open and close accounts including safe deposit boxes.
  • Help assist customers with debit card, online banking, bill pay, mobile banking, etc. questions and concerns.
  • Balance accounts (including GL).
  • Fold and mail out customer correspondence.
  • Filing.
  • Data entry in various platforms.
  • Logging variety of information in different excel spreadsheets.
  • Process variety of customers letters.
  • Proof operator backup.
  • Look for opportunities to cross sell and explain bank products and services.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand; use hands to finger, handle to feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee may occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl or negotiate stairs or stepladders. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 26 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
