Early Childhood Assistant
Work site:  Children’s Discovery Center, Stevens Point
 
Start Date:   as soon as possible     
           
Starting Pay:   $11.12-$12.12 per hour, depending on experience
 
Status:   Full time-37.5 hours per week

Duties:  Will be responsible for assisting the teacher in preparing and conducting developmentally appropriate activities in the classroom and for the supervision of children.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of high school or equivalent and completion of two courses in Early Childhood Education from an institute of higher education; and six months related work experience working directly with young children

• Copy of unofficial transcripts and/or certificate of class or Registry

• Must obtain and maintain a certificate for CPR within three months of hire

• Must complete Shaken Baby Syndrome training prior to starting at the center.
