Job Description
The Stevens Point Area Public School District partners with Teachers On Call (TOC) to hire and process teacher substitutes, including Permanent Substitutes.  

Teachers On Call is currently hiring two (2) talented Permanent Substitutes to work full time, Monday – Friday, (September – May) in various schools throughout the District.  

This temporary position will begin as soon as possible and end approximately May 31, 2019.

JOB DUTIES (PERMANENT SUBSTITUTE TEACHER) 
Effectively manage a classroom of students by keeping them on task and engaged
Assumes all duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher
Follow lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher
Supervise and ensure safety of students during classroom hours
Maintain a positive learning environment
Leave feedback and notes for the regular classroom teacher
Assist with non-classroom duties when assigned
Must have ability to follow both oral and written directions/instructions
Must have ability to communicate effectively through both oral and written means

JOB EXPECTATIONS
Attempts to be made for pre-scheduled work assignments while also being avaialbe for a 24 hour notice of on-call assignments.
Open to working potentially at a different location each school day
Be available  Monday – Friday for assignments in order to meet full time requirements
Follow through with scheduled assignments
Be flexible when asked to complete duties beyond original assignment
Must model professional experience, attitude, and demeanor
Must demonstrate an appreciation of diversity

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
PERMANENT SUBSTITUTE: Must have a current, valid Short-Term Substitute License, Five-Year Long-Term Substitute License OR a current Wisconsin Teacher License according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.  Find out more about this license here:  www.dpi.wi.gov
