Renaissance seeks a highly competent and motivated database professional who has a high sense of ownership and drive to work in a team environment and create, administer and support large data stores in our Hosted and corporate database environments.  Hosted Services are an important part of Renaissance's offering to K-12 schools.  We provide 100% digital, cloud based solutions to about 1/3 of all US schools and in over 60 countries worldwide.  We are looking for talented individuals that can analyze data needs and turn that into actionable best practice database implementations and daily practices.  
Work out of our beautiful corporate office in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.  This is not a contractor role.
•Utilizes strong database administration experience and technical expertise for creation, management, ongoing maintenance and monitoring of diverse database implementations (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, RedShift) both on premise and cloud.
•Proactively identifies opportunities to improve data queries and pursues modern and secure practices.
•Familiar with toolsets and practices that optimize implementations, performance, and scalability of growing databases and data intensive applications to ensure 24x7 availability.
•Helps to define and enforce best practice database, query, and data security standards.
•Works with Programming staff to ensure hardware configurations, clustering, replication, compression and currency of database versions are optimal and promote stability.
•Maintains confidentiality of Renaissance and its customer’s proprietary information.
 
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent
•5-10 years of DBA experience, 3-5 years specific to MongoDB or other NoSQL DB is desired
•Experience working in a fast paced, highly automated environment
•Desire to work as a productive member in collaboration with a highly skilled team
•Desires variety and capability to prioritize and balance multiple initiatives
•Good communication and documentation skills
