Position: Editor Content Management - Intern
Location: This is a year-round internship at our Corporate Office in Stevens Point, WI
Starting Pay: $14.00 per hour

Do you have an interest in helping others become better writers? Are you skilled in details of written work, such as correct grammar and spelling?  Skyward has positions open for current college students to work in our groundbreaking Content Management department. Positions may lead to long term, full time positions with Skyward upon graduation.

As an Editor Content Management - Intern, you will work closely with a team of writers, multimedia developers, and subject matter experts as you primarily proof and validate written content for publishing as part of our cutting-edge online product content. You ensure that published materials meet very specific standards of quality. 

Essential Responsibilities
  • Supporting and educating staff by providing expertise in content tools, DITA XML standards, authoring, and style.
  • Completing final pre-publishing content validation/proofing to ensure adherence to the technical specifications outlined in the Skyward Information Model, standards from the Authoring Guides, and other language, performance, and stylistic elements. Materials will predominately include XML structured product usage/training content.
  • Evaluating content for understandability, usability, and professionalism from an end-user perspective.
Positions are 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, when school is in session, with no time expectations during school breaks. When school is not in session (summer), interns may work up to 40 hours.
