Material Handler - Manufacturing

We are currently seeking Material Handlers to work in our Manufacturing Department. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring Material Handling procedures are being followed in the manufacturing department.  As well as working with supervisors and leads to develop a daily plan to accomplish production needs.

2nd shift hours – Mon - Wed - 2:15 PM - 12:45 AM and Thur - 2:00 PM -12:30 AM

What you’ll do: 

  • Responsible for all transfer and movement of finished goods; verification of raw materials, WIP materials and FG components to and from MFG
  • Review and identify shortages and other abnormalities with inventory – communicate to supervisor or leads for action
  • Responsible for organizing inventory daily
  • Provide feedback to Operations regarding availability, trends or other critical information of materials, inventory, etc.
  • Place product and components into the quarantine area after completing the appropriate documentation.
  • Stage formulations for manufacturing and place product back in the airlock when formulation is complete
  • Safely operate PIT (Power Industrial Trucks) as required, being certified on all PIT equipment.
  • Remove garbage and cardboard as needed
  • Responsible for being proactive to provide a clean, safe and sanitary environment for the handling of products
  • Detailed communication with Production and Warehouse staff

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 18 years of age, with a completed a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). 2 years manufacturing experience or education equivalent desired.
  • Power Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, emails, SOP’s, labeling instructions and other materials required. Ability to write legible short correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization. Must effectively demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.
  • Ability to add, subtract, and multiply applying mathematical concepts when needed.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
