LTE Shelter Advocate Work site: Family Crisis Center – Stevens Point, WI Duties: The position exists to meet the immediate needs of callers on a 24-hour crisis and information hotline and walk-in visitors presenting for a variety of concerns including mental health, family dysfunction, domestic abuse and sexual assault. The position also meets the needs of domestic violence victims and their children as well as youth-in-crisis who are receiving emergency shelter services at the Family Crisis Center. Minimum Qualifications: BS/BA in psychology, social work, human services or related degree and One year of relatable work or work considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis intervention/youth/domestic violence/sexual assault services. OR Associates Degree in related field and three years of the same work or work considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis intervention/youth/domestic violence/sexual assault services. OR High School Diploma and 5 years of relatable work or work considered preparatory, leading to a working knowledge of crisis intervention/youth/domestic violence/sexual assault services. Must be able to respond on site within 30 minutes of being contacted during scheduled on call. Candidates will be required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the CDC, upon commencing employment.
