Job Description
As a part of Manufacturing, you will manage supply chain processes, create short-term and long-term Manufacturing production plans, analyze and identify capacity issues. Organize operational resources, make important operational decisions, and procure materials to support and deliver customer demand within the financial responsibilities of the organization.

  • Lead in the planning process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment, and delivery, and returns on products.
  • Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management and employees understand supply chain logistics.
  • Create and manage product and material forecasts using ForecastX based on historical data and expected demand which will satisfy sales, marketing, vendors, and customer expectations.
  • Responsible for creating a Master production schedule (MPS), Material Replenishments and subsequent Plan (MRP) to support MPS.
  • Provides short and long-term inventory projections based on sales, MPS, and MRP.
  • Purchase materials or other goods and/or coordinates activities involved with procuring products and services, such as raw materials, supplies, equipment, tools, parts, and components used to produce finished products.
  • Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule, and negotiates annual net savings.
  • May work with manufacturers or potential vendors to undertake the manufacturing of items per customer’s specific needs and specifications.
  • Conducts and evaluates competitive intelligence, market reports, trade periodicals, and other secondary research.
  • Manage forecasting, balance capacity, analyze Inventory and expenses to maximize profitability and customer service levels.
  • Performs audits of tip-to-tip supply chain systems and processes on regular basis. Including; forecasting/MPS/MRP processes and business rules, material order quantities, production batch sizes, finished product, and raw material safety stock quantities, multiple warehouse transfer process, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and product routing/ bill of material structure. 
  • Understand the correlation and relationship between forecasting, operations production scheduling, materials resource planning, scheduling, capacity management, and cash flow to maintain business operations within the sustainable business model.

  • Completed high school diploma or general education degree (GED).  Bachelor’s degree in Math Sciences or related sciences field required, and/or related sciences Associates degree with 2-4 years minimum experience desired with an emphasis in mathematics business application, purchasing, supply chain; experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 
  • Proficient experience and knowledge use of Microsoft Office suite with advanced user ability in Excel required. ForecastX Wizard experience desired but will train.  SharePoint and Navision experience preferred but will train. 
  • APICS certification required. Lean and Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, emails, SOP’s and other materials required.  Ability to write legible correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information verbally to other employees of the organization. Must effectively demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, and multiply applying statistical mathematical concepts when needed.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
