Groundskeeper III

What You'll Do
As a Groundskeeper III, we count on you to be a top contributor in helping to create a world class experience for our guests. In this role you’ll:

  • Perform maintenance of lawns and grounds including mowing, using power and hand operated equipment, hand clipping inaccessible areas, edging, mulching, fertilizing, weeding, thatching, aerifying, and top dressing.
  • Prepare planting areas by cultivating, fertilizing and mulching.
  • Assist with plant selection and flower bed design and plant/maintain annual and perennial plant selections by feeding, watering, weeding, applying appropriate pesticides, etc.
  • Mix and apply products in accordance with appropriate laws and safety procedures and wear proper safety equipment as needed
  • Transplant, brace, and prune trees and shrubs to shape as needed. 
  • Remove dead or damaged material, mulches, edges, anchors, utilizing accepted practices.
  • Maintain parts inventory, blueprint and records updates.
  • Perform gas and wire welding for equipment repair and fabricating. 
  • Assist with snow removal as needed.
  • Performance of other job-related duties requiring the same general knowledge, skills and degree of responsibility commensurate with assigned level. 
What it Takes
  • Technical Degree or equivalent work experience required; degree in biology, arboriculture, horticulture or other landscape-related field preferred. 
  • 2+ years of related work experience required with extensive previous landscape experience.
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment applicable to the job with specialized mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, ability to perform mechanical repairs, and familiarity with plant/tree pests and diseases preferred, but not required.
  • Possess or ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicator Certification.
  • Available to work irregular hours/days to meet deadlines or accommodate weather conditions, which may be flexible up to 40 hours per week.
