POSITION SUMMARY 

Assist with the viewing, preparing, processing, trapping and ripping of a customer furnished digital file, resulting in an accurate post-rip document. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Document file problems, including feedback to Customer Service Representative. 
  • Assist with paginating files for proofing and/or plating. 
  • Assist with creating digital and/or analog proofs if required. 
  • Perform quality control of text and images. 
  • Use computers, to make up and arrange pages so that printed materials can be produced. 
  • Assist other department associates with workflow/processing problems if needed. 
  • Continually identify, develop, and implement improvements in work processes.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Technical training and/or related work experience required. 
  • Knowledge of pre-press, printing and bindery processes beneficial. 
  • Working knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms, along with working knowledge of Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flight Check, InDesign (Adobe Creative Suites) and related software. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Proficient mathematical ability. 
  • Ability to consistently and effectively work independently with little or no direction and follow up to complete assignments required. 
  • Ability to demonstrate practical and technical knowledge of the job including an understanding of work instructions, processes, equipment, and materials to perform the job required. 
  • Ability to consistently and effectively complete work and required paperwork thoroughly, accurately, and neatly following established processes and procedures required. 
  • Ability to consistently and effectively demonstrate initiative and creativity; teamwork and cooperation; and adhere to and comply with all company and environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and work rules required. 
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime and other shifts required. Prompt and reliable attendance required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

Pay range: $17.57/hour-$21.97/hour.
