Job Description
Qualifications:
  • Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical and control systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial instrumentation systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, modify, and program PLCs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain VFDs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain HMIs.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as maintenance/manufacturing manuals, and blueprints.
  • Ability to use electrical and electronic test instruments.
  • Ability to use a full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection of equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, afternoons, midnights and/or weekends.
  • Ability to repair, rebuild or overhaul equipment
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, plumbing and refrigeration systems.
 
Job duties:
  • Analyzes electrical, automation, mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.  Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality. 
  • Documents actions by completing records.  The willingness to complete and maintain paperwork is a must.
  • Maintains safe work environment by following procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Make preventative maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, report findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
  • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Assures MRO orders accurately and timely.
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities electively and when required.
  • Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.  Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks on all pieces of equipment.
  • Perform job duties in a safe manner
  • Follows all OSHA, HAZMAT, USDA, FDA and EPA rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
