CAP Services, Inc. stands in solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islanders community

We at CAP Services, Inc. stand in solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) community and condemn the violence that has taken place. The shooting on March 16 took the lives of eight people at three different spas in northern Georgia, including six Asian women. This unspeakable tragedy comes at a time when AAPI communities are already grappling with the traumatic surge of violence nationwide.

As we collectively grieve and respond to this devastation, we must remember the needs of those most directly impacted - the families of the victims first and foremost, but also the AAPI community. This latest attack will only intensify the fear and pain that they have endured as hate incidents and attacks have increased since March 2020. Our hearts go out to all who have been impacted, especially our staff and people we serve who are Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC).

It is the mission of CAP Services to transform people and communities to advance social and economic justice not only in our immediate service area, but wherever the sense of this is violated. We call on you to stand with us against systemic racism and build a community where all people have the opportunity to thrive.
