The Portage County Business Council is seeking a dynamic, self-starter to direct the marketing and communication efforts. Responsibilities include social media, digital newsletter, graphic design, event promotion, front office duties, and supervising volunteers.

Position Purpose:
 Provide a variety of specialized and administrative services to increase PCBC’s visibility through the development and distribution of information and materials while providing up-to-date information on Portage County attributes to the general public, members and businesses.
Answer the organization’s incoming telephone calls and respond to community information / business inquiries.  Greet visitors to the facility and provide quality customer service.
Support all aspects of marketing and communication including: branding, events, promotions, online marketing, media relations and other initiatives to increase brand recognition and drive membership.
Responsible for development and distribution of monthly digital magazine through email, website and social media outlets.  Manage advertising, securing contracts and payments. 
Increase awareness of PCBC and Foundation mission through maintenance of PCBC and everythingpointshere.com website as well as growing social media presence on Facebook (Live), LinkedIn and Twitter.  Utilize Google Analytics for tracking and analyzing results of online media usage.
Design and print promotional and support materials for PCBC and Foundation.
Maintain current supplies of community and tourism information (statewide, county, and members).
Provide assistance in the management of the Portage County Business Council Gift Certificate program.
Assist with recruitment and retention of businesses/organizations/individuals to be members of the organization.
Work closely with the Executive Director in fulfillment of the organization’s objectives.  Perform additional duties requiring similar skills and abilities as directed by the Executive Director.
Support Ignite Young Professionals as staff liaison.
Education:    Two year degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience:    Work experience preferred in a position requiring similar skills.
Skills:    Strong customer service skills, including outstanding oral and written communication
                Understanding of office procedures and ability to operate office equipment
                Understanding and knowledge of data analytics and database operations (ChamberMaster a plus)
                Website (WordPress) maintenance and graphic design
                        Adobe Suites
                        Project Management
                        Excellent Computer Skills
                        Social media communication experence
