Night Committee, Chair of the Allocations Committee, Endowment Committee and the Spring Luncheon Committee. Jeanne’s commitment to serve her community has not been limited to the Women’s Fund. She served on the Ascension St. Michael’s Foundation Board during the Hope is Building Campaign for the hospital’s new Breast Care Center. Jeanne also served as President of the Symphony Guild, board member of the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, and is an active member of Redeemer Lutheran, serving on their church council and building committee as well as being a Sunday School teacher, and even a Girl Scout Leader. While serving in many of these capacities, Jeanne also touched the lives of hundreds of students as a mathematics teacher, first at PJ Jacobs, then with the UWSP Mathematics Department teaching Calculus and Statistics.
Today, Jeanne’s leadership continues to reach beyond these local boards and classrooms. Her commitment to serve a greater good is evident by her love and passion as a PEO sister (recognized world-wide as the Philanthropic Educational Organization) serving at the local and state levels.
From the hands that rocked the cradle for three very accomplished daughters, to three precious granddaughters, these same hands today are truly rocking the world! Jeanne brings a rush of renewed energy to whatever project, committee, board or collaborative agenda are put before her. Five short minutes with Jeanne will convince you that there is a whole lot of good that can still be accomplished if we join united hearts to benefit all. Jeanne Herder, a true Spark!
Jeanne Herder is a great example of how one life can impact so many, and her dedication to serving on the Women’s Fund board has changed lives.  The mission of the Women’s Fund is to empower women philanthropists by creating opportunities to fund programs that will develop the full potential of women and children. Since 1997 the Women’s Fund has provided over $600,000 to local agencies. Notably, the funds have been built from donations of everyday women in the community. The support of local individuals and businesses in the community has been a vital part of the Women’s Fund’s success.
The Women’s Fund knows the Spring Luncheon would not exist without the generous support of their sponsors including: Exclusive Sponsor - Sentry and Premier Sponsors - Ameriprise Financial - Michael Smith and Associates, Associated Bank, Delta Dental of Wisconsin, Head Case Salon, and Investors Community Bank.
