We’re Not Wine-ing…But We Still Need Your Cheese

Portage County Taste of Wine & Cheese Cancelled, But Need Continues for Youth

(Stevens Point, WI, March 31st, 2021) – The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County made the decision to once again cancel their signature Taste of Wine & Cheese event. This was a difficult decision because the need to raise funds for youth programming continues. In fact, the need for safe, enriching, and fun activities is even greater.

In lieu of hosting their Taste of Wine & Cheese event, the Boys & Girls Club is launching “We’re Not Wine-ing…But We Still Need Your Cheese” campaign on Friday, April 2nd to replace important funding for Portage County youth. The Club is asking the community to consider giving their “cheese” to support essential programming for youth.

Boys & Girls Club of Portage County Executive Director, Kevin Quevillon has agreed to dress up in a mouse costume to ask for “cheese” to support Club programming. Kevin, the mouse, may be seen at local businesses who give their “cheese” to support children throughout Portage County.

To help the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County reach their goal of raising $100,000 by Wednesday, April 21st, to continue serving children and families who need them most, please visit www.bgclubpc.org/cheese or send a gift to PO Box 171, Stevens Point, WI 54481.
