DESCRIPTION:Foxconn Presentation - Wednesday\, October 17\, 2018\n\n \n\nOn October 17th from 4-5PM\, come to this informational session to hear Foxconn in Wisconsin: What Does Foxconn Mean for My Community. \n\n\n\nNo Cost to Attend\n\n\n\nThis special program is being offered in selected communities to hear about this economic development project and outline the very real benefits it will bring to businesses across the state through the supply chain and related activities.\n\n\n\nFoxconn has committed to investing 10 billion dollars to build a state-of-the-art advanced manufacturing campus in Wisconsin. Our presenter\, Matt Moroney\, Director of Strategic Economic Initiatives\, Wisconsin Department of Administration will provide a brief overview of the project background\, timelines for construction and public infrastructure improvements\, and information and resources to help interested businesses anywhere in Wisconsin prepare for the future opportunities. The presentation provides examples of the statewide impacts communities are experiencing as a result of this historic investment in Wisconsin\, and it provides information on steps to get involved in the project. Organizations and individuals looking to get involved in this historic project are encouraged to attend.\n\n\n\nGuest Speaker:\n\n\n\nMatt Moroney\, Director of Strategic Economic Initiatives\, Department of Administration\n\n \n\nMatt Moroney serves as the strategic economic initiatives director at the Wisconsin Department of Administration\, where he leads the coordination effort between federal agencies\, state agencies\, and local communities related to Foxconn's historic investment in the State of Wisconsin. Prior to his current role as strategic economic initiatives director\, Matt served as Governor Walker's deputy chief of staff for operations providing oversight of state agency operations\, efficiency efforts\, and policy development.  Matt has also served as deputy secretary at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and as executive director of the Metropolitan Builders Association of Greater Milwaukee. He received his bachelor's degree from Loras College and his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa.
