DESCRIPTION:Join us at the newly constructed Chemistry and Biology building on the UW-Stevens Point campus for the 2018 Golden Apple Awards and Partners In Education Social. \n\n\n\nThe Partners In Education (PIE) Social provides a unique opportunity for educator and administrators to make connections with the business community and vice versa. In an ever-changing workforce climate\, partnerships between teachers and business allows for better understanding of the needs both in the classroom and beyond. \n\n\n\nThe Golden Apple Awards are an annual recognition of outstanding teachers in our community. The 2018 Excellence in Education Award winner is: Mrs. Sarah Lima. Sarah is a Math & ELA teacher at Rosholt Middle School who has been teaching for 18 years. Her nomination displayed Sarah's true commitment\, not only to building relationships with her students\, but to continuing her professional development and education. She is the only teacher on the Rosholt staff who is Nationally Board Certified. Jim Grygleski\, who nominated her\, indicated that it is a pleasure to be her Principal. J\n\n \n\nIn addition to Sarah\, the other nominees are:\n\n\n	Emily Butz\, 1st grade at Pacelli Catholic Schools\n	Nancy Gosh\, 3rd grade at Amherst School District\n	Carla Klismith\, 4K at Stevens Point Area Public Schools\n	Kim La Belle\, K at Pacelli Catholic Schools\n	Michelle Nerren\, Learning Resources at Pacelli High School\, Pacelli Catholic Schools\n	Kelly Rowe\, 4K at Stevens Point Area Public Schools\n	Jessica Tornow\, K/1st grade at Stevens Point Christian Academy\n	Kris Zasada\, K at Stevens Point Area Public Schools\n	Joseph Zawacki\, 7th grade at Pacelli Catholic Schools\n\n\nNew teacher in Portage County?
