\nAg Tour 2019\, presented by Del Monte Foods\, Rural Mutual Insurance Company-Zinda Insurance Group \;and Okray Family Farms \;is set for Tuesday\, September 10^th \;from 11:30AM to 4:30PM. \; Planned by the Agri-Business Committee of the Portage County Business Council\, you and your business associates are invited to attend. \;

\nThe event begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and guest speaker at Wisconsin Public Service Corporation. The buffet style lunch will feature grilled hamburgers\, brats\, potato salad\, calico beans\, chips\, dessert and more. \;The theme for this year'\;s event is "\;Farm to Family"\;. \; Our guest speaker is Portage County Executive &\; Co-Owner of Nami Moon Farms\, Chris Holman. Chris will be presenting "\;The Lay of the Land: Family Farming and the Future of Agriculture"\;. This presentation will talk about where agriculture is today\, the dominant trends in agriculture as a whole\, and some of the likely paths farmers will find themselves on as we move forward into yet another year of a bad farm economy.

\nAfter lunch\, we will head to Whitefeather Organics\, Custer\, WI. Whitefeather Organics\, LLC was established in 2006 offering fresh\, certified\, organic produce for the local community.

\n

\nThen it'\;s off to Riley Crest Farm located at 11092 State Hwy. 54 in Amherst\, WI. Riley Crest Farm\, LLC is owned by Tom and Kari Riley and established in 1994. Attendees will tour their organic dairy milking farm of 30 cows and 300 goats that graze on 150 acres. Kids\, kids every where!
