Our September X-Change will be held in person at the Portage County Business Council office. While we are excited for live events\, for those that cannot travel we will also be offering this X-Change by Zoom. Business X-Change allows business owners and their employees the opportunity to discuss pertinent topics\, learn from local industry leaders and\, most importantly\, learn from each other. \n\n \n\nThere is no cost to attend.\n\n \n\n\n\nTitle: "Meeting the Challenges of Current Workforce Issues"\n\n \n\nPresented by:\n\n\n\nCraig Bernstein\n\nDirector of Workforce and Professional Development\n\nMid-State Technical College\n\n       \n\nAbout the Program:  This X-Business will provide an overview of the current labor market and examine the workforce problems facing our employees. We will look at recruitment issues\, management and supervisory issues as well as employee engagement and offer tips and recommendations for solving these issues. \n\n\n\nKey Points: Following this presentation\, participants will:\n\n- Understand the current workforce challenges\n\n- Recognize the importance of communication\n\n- Learn how to increase employee engagement for retention\n\n\n\nAbout our Presenter: \n\nCraig Bernstein has worked in the technical system for the past 5 years and has been with Mid-State since 2017. He earned a Master of Science in Management Degree with an emphasis in Training and Talent Development from Troy University. He currently oversees the College's continuing education division\, which includes community enrichment programs\, professional development courses and workforce training.\n\n\n\nWhat is Business X-Change? Allows business owners and their employees the opportunity to discuss pertinent topics\, learn from local industry leaders and\, most importantly\, learn from each other.
