School Age Care - Site Supervisor

Care is provided at Stevens Point public schools before and after school for children grades K-6. The Site Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, administration, development and implementation of curriculum, program compliance, supplies and safety of the School Age site within the policies and procedures of the YMCA and state licensing regulations. You will also have the opportunity to work in our full-day school-age care programs held at the Y during the year when school is not in session.
 
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
Skills:
You must have experience working in programs for children age 5 – 12 years. Post high school training in school-age care or related coursework is required.

Competencies:
Most important, you must enjoy spending time with groups of school-age children, and have an understanding of their behaviors and group dynamics. Other critical competencies include high energy levels, patience, creativity, problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You must exhibit the Y core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring.

Certifications:
Must meet the qualifications for Teacher under the DCF 251 Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers. CPR w/AED and First Aid is required within 60 days of employment.

Physical Requirements:
Prior to work, all staff will be required to provide a Physician-signed health examination and complete a fingerprint background check.

Age: Minimum age is 18
 
SCHEDULE
Variety of shifts available (Must be able to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week, and occasional no-school days when school is not in session)
Monday – Friday 6:25 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
 
WAGE
Starting at $14 per hour. Includes fully-paid adult YMCA membership.
