Total Rewards Pay Schedule-range: $73,456.00-$80,000.00; based on qualifications and experience

Department University Advancement
Department Description The mission of the UWSP University Advancement Department is to strengthen relationships with university stakeholders and manage engagement by telling the UWSP Story and fundraising activities to secure resources and support for the university’s mission and vision.
University Advancement works to increase the resources available to the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point by generating philanthropic interests and volunteer support. 
Advancement oversees activities of the UWSP Alumni Association, Major Gift Officers, development and the UWSP Foundation.

Position Summary The Advancement Operations Officer manages and evaluates advancement strategy for the unit. They represent the unit to internal and external stakeholders to ensure success of advancement efforts. In conjunction with the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement/CEO of the UWSP Foundation Board, they oversee development and implements fundraising, public relations, and alumni relations strategy in support of strategic goals.
Shift: Office hours of 7:45am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to supervise multiple FTE’s and consultants.
  • Excellent communication - both verbal and e-communications.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Proficiency in accounting and operational standards (tax laws, reporting, general compliance, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multitask multiple projects and requests. (Project management)  
  • Proven time management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with CASE, VSE, Gift Attainment and Reporting Standards.
  • Knowledge of NXT/Raisers Edge/Financial Edge database.
  • Understanding of Charter Agreements.
  • Familiarity with Philanthropy.
  • Knowledge of higher education institution operations.

Terms of Employment This is an Academic Staff annual appointment, exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
