Vice President of Lending

Start Date: as soon as possible                                         
               
Starting Pay: $7,040 - $7,673 monthly, depending on experience.
 
Status: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, salaried exempt

Duties: The VP of Lending is responsible for managing a diverse loan portfolio of approximately $12M comprised of auto, business, consumer, and deferred single family housing loans. The candidate in this role is directly involved in developing and securing new funding opportunities for loan programs through investments and grants through innovative strategies while providing support to staff in the various areas of financial education, business coaching, financial packaging, underwriting, and loan servicing. The VP of Lending works closely with CEO, CFO, and Loan Committee on portfolio management, risk mitigation. CAP Services is established CDFI working closely with community partners to advance the agency's mission. 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.A., B.S. in related field (business administration or finance) plus work experience.
  • OR; non-related B.A./B.S. degree and two years' practical experience in business development and/or commercial/mortgage lending and real estate, plus work experience
  • OR; Associates degree in related field and four years' experience in business development/commercial lending. Certification as an Economic Development Specialist by the National Development Council and/or Wisconsin Commercial Banking training are desirable plus work experience.
     
Work Experience:
  • Five years’ experience in administering community housing or economic development programs and lending with at least two of those years with management/supervisory responsibilities. Experience in working with the US Treasury's CDFI Fund, New Market Tax Credit Program, Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program, HUD HOME, USDA and SBA loan products desirable.
