Gymnastics Instructor

Our gymnastics program includes classes ranging from Parent/Tot through High School and Competitive Team. Gymnastics Instructors are responsible for conducting gymnastics classes for youth in accordance with the National YMCA Progressive Gymnastics’ Program using the philosophy of positive feedback and mental attitude.
 
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
Skills: Knowledge of gymnastics skills and rules and safety awareness are required. Personal experience as a gymnast, background in Y sports philosophy, and experience teaching at individual or group levels are beneficial. You must possess the ability to recognize individual differences and adjust lessons accordingly.

Competencies: You must be sensitive to the needs of individuals, and have the ability to build rapport with participants and parents. Other critical competencies include patience, problem solving creativity, motivational skills, and a spirit of good sportsmanship. You must exhibit the Y core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring.

Certifications: CPR w/AED and First Aid is a position prerequisite, but you are allowed 60 days post-hire to obtain.

WAGE
Starting at $9.00/hour. Includes fully paid YMCA adult membership.
