Festival Foods Turkey Trot 2022 Stevens Point to Benefit the Boys & Girls Club and YMCA

Stevens Point, WI – Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 24th, Festival Foods will be hosting the 15th annual Festival Foods Turkey Trot at 8 AM at the Stevens Point Area High School to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County and the Stevens Point Area YMCA.

The Stevens Point Community Turkey Trot has been a tradition for many years. The event was most recently organized by Portage County CAN to provide community members a way to gather with any and all who wanted to kick off our national holiday celebration with physical activity. This is a transition year to a NEW event, marking the beginning of the Festival Foods Turkey Trot in Stevens Point, but continuing to provide healthy family fun and much needed charitable support.

Portage County CAN President Annie Wetter said, “We are grateful that the community will continue to have an event to kick off Thanksgiving with physical activity. And we are grateful that Festival Foods agreed to support Interfaith Food Pantry to a level that matched the donations previously received from the Stevens Point Community Turkey Trot.”

The Festival Foods Turkey Trot includes a five-mile run, a two-mile fun run, two mile-walk, and two-mile dog jog. This event caters to the family and to all skill levels.  Want a personal record? The five-mile run is timed.  Do you want to run just for fun or you are just starting to run, the two-mile fun run would be perfect for you. Want to enjoy a walk or run with your family and friends prior to indulging in food and football all day?  This is a great way to start the day with family and friends.  Don’t want to walk or run, you can volunteer for many positions.

If you would like to register to participate or volunteer, please visit www.festivalfoodsturkeytrot.com for more information. Start a family tradition on Thanksgiving morning with the Festival Foods Turkey Trot.
