Start your day with breakfast and the Portage County Business Council. POWER Breakfast Series - Presented by Applied Tech Stevens Point will be held two times a year from 7:15AM to 9:00AM. It provides educational and professional development opportunities to Business Council members and the communities of Portage County. Informational speakers will help you stay informed of business issues you need to understand. POWER Breakfast Series is open to the public.

Guest Speakers: Jeff Martin, Regional Vice President for Ministry Health Care and President of Saint Michael's Hospital

Presentation Description:
Gain a better understanding of health care reform as the leaders of the two major providers of health care services in Portage County, Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital and Ministry Medical Group, provide insights into the impact and challenges of the new reform laws. Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital President, Jeff Martin, and Ministry Medical Group Vice President, Dr. Mark Fenlon, will present an overview of the local and national implications and Ministry’s plans to respond, and share information regarding new services that will soon become available in our communities.
About out Speakers:
Jeff Martin is the Regional Vice President for Ministry Health Care and President of St. Michael’s Hospital a position he has held since 1987. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from UW Oshkosh and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Financial Management from UW Madison in 1981. Prior to joining Ministry Health Care, Jeff was Vice President of Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL which is a teaching hospital associated with Southern Illinois University.
Jeff has been involved in numerous community organizations during his 25 year tenure. He is married with two adult children and one granddaughter. Jeff is a licensed commercial pilot and avid golfer.
Dr. Mark Fenlon is the Regional Vice President for Ministry Medical Group in the central region. He grew up in Appleton and attended UW Madison receiving his Bachelor degree in biochemistry and subsequently his MD in 1984. After completing his Family Practice residency in Wausau, WI, Dr. Fenlon joined two other Family Physicians at Plover Family Practice in 1987. Over the years the practice grew and ultimately became part of Ministry Medical Group.
Dr. Fenlon has held various leadership positions throughout his tenure and in April 2008 took on the challenge of Regional Vice President for the medical group. During his off time, Dr. Fenlon enjoys motorcycling and back country skiing. He and his wife Julia have two grown children.
