Description
We all have the ability to lead. We are gifted in different ways, with different leadership abilities and different passions. These passions guide us to where and how we choose to lead, some focusing on our corner of the world in Portage County, while others focus on concerns across the globe. No matter where we lead, we share a common thread?our status as an alumnus of the Leadership Portage County program. When you think back on your LPC experience I?m sure, like myself, you can think of ways in which your leadership grew, you became more familiar with Portage County and made lasting connections with the participants who took the journey with you.
As a member of the nearly 500 strong LPC Alumni community we are asking for your support of our Annual Fund designated to scholarship support for future participants. On behalf of the Alumni Committee, I ask you to please consider supporting LPC Scholarships.
In August, Leadership Portage County will launch its 2012-13 Class. These participants will be adding their knowledge, capacity and leadership growth to the nearly 500 LPC Alumni and joining us as leaders.
Scholarship funds offer reduced LPC tuition for applicants who would otherwise not be able to afford participation. These are crucial to keeping the program accessible and inclusive to all individuals interested in increasing their community awareness and effective leadership. Here is what some scholarship recipients have said:
?Thank you for your generous support! As an employee of a non-profit organization with a very limited training budget, the LPC scholarship allowed me to participate in an experience like no other!?
?I am very appreciative for the scholarship I received for Leadership Portage County. It would have been far more difficult to afford without this support. I found the program to be very helpful for me as a newcomer to the County and Community, and will be able to use the many insights in my position. ?
