AMERICAN AGRICULTURE APPRECIATION BANQUET -
MARCH 12, 2018
The American Agriculture Appreciation Banquet supports the successes of agri-business in Portage County.
Presentations are made to students and their leaders in categories including:
4-H Leadership in Agriculture Award - Suzanna Viau
Outstanding FFA Senior Awards - Shelby Stuczynski-Amherst High School; Wyatt Stanislawski-Rosholt High School; and Justin Wisinski-SPASH
Agri-Business Scholarship Recipients - Bailey Adams and Ellisa Frederickson

Location of Event: Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center, 1001 Amber Avenue, Stevens Point, WI (Expos 3A & 3B)
Dinner includes: Garden Salad with Choice of Dressing, Chicken Meredith (Herb Breaded Chicken Breast Pan-Seared with Sauce Supreme), Baked Potato, Seasonal Vegetable, Rolls with butter, delicious chocolate fudge cake for dessert and Coffee, Tea and Milk.
An assorted, complimentary appetizer buffet will also be served with items donated by our local Agri-Businesses.

Layne Cozzolino, Executive Director of Farmshed
Layne's will be presenting "Food as the Connection to our Place". Layne has been with Farmshed since 2009, first as a volunteer board member and program organizer. As a volunteer, she created Farmshed's EBT program at the Stevens Point Farmers Market. Layne was then hired as the organization's first employee in 2011 when they took over the former Sorenson's Garden Center in downtown Stevens Point. The Farmshed community had dreams of making it a community food center, and have since made that a reality. Layne has overseen Farmshed's growth and development into the region's leading local food organization She also holds a Masters Decree from UWSP in Sustainable and Resilient Food Systems.
