Description
DOCUMENTATION AND DISCIPLINE WORKSHOP - September 26, 2019
You're invited to attend our 5 1/2 hour, interactive workshop designed for business people responsible for Human Resources to discuss both the importance of Documentation & Discipline and Job Descriptions. ACT FAST - SPACE IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 20 PEOPLE REGISTERED!
About the Program: Your company culture is partially shaped by the behaviors you do and do not tolerate. Is this aspect of your culture as robust as you want it be? Correcting and changing poor employee behavior is not easy - it take professional courage and knowledge of good processes to make it legally defensible. Documentation of the process is a crucial factor in your success of being perceived as fair, having taken the right actions, and defending yourself.
This workshop focuses on steps of a progressive disciplinary approach:
- When should an employee be written up?
- What steps are appropriate?
- What should be said and done at each step?
This workshop will help you be more confident and effective in working through the steps of this area of your responsibility.
Another important part of this workshop will cover job descriptions. Job descriptions are the backbone of many HR decisions - so they need to be done right. Whether narrowing in on the tasks of a position, costing out the wage, developing interview questions, or assessing physical and mental demands, they serve a vital role. Good job descriptions are also required for decision making in terms of legal defense in areas such as FMLA, ADA, and Worker's Compensation. We will cover what should go into a good job description and where to get help getting started.
