Description
Overview of the SAWW Training Program. In this course you will learn about OSHA regulations and requirements. Sessions will cover body mechanics, personal protective equipment and its importance; necessary tools; saws; tree felling; and limbing, bucking, and topping. You will learn about chainsaws, including the types that are available, how to inspect a saw for damage, understanding the cutter and how it works, reactive forces, the bore cut, the face notch, and the hinge.
You will leave this class with safety knowledge and the confidence to use a saw properly. Box lunch will be provided.
