Event Description:

Interested in public service?  Whether you want to be our next mayor, fill a spot on the school board, or serve as a citizen appointee on a municipal committee, being a part of your local government is an exciting way to shape your community.

Join us to learn more about public service - the good, the bad, and perhaps, the ugly. Whether your knowledge is limited, or you've been a campaign manager you'll leave with new insights and shared experiences. Small group discussions will make this a hands-on workshop allowing you to ask questions in a safe setting and learn more. 

Program Agenda:

  • 5:00-5:15 PM: Registration & Networking
  • 5:15-5:30 PM: Session Opening, Review Expectations
  • 5:30-6:00 PM: Keynote Presentation: Character Building and Personality Traits in Public Office
  • 6:00-6:15 PM: Break and Dinner Served
  • 6:15-7:15 PM: Small Group Facilitated Conversations (last 15 minutes, full group share)
  • 7:15-7:50 PM: Logistics with John Moe (25 minute presentation, 10 minutes for questions)
  • 7:50-8:00 PM: Closing Comments & Next Steps
