BUSINESS X-CHANGE – October 10, 2018
Business X-Change meets regularly throughout the year at the Portage County Business Council office. A roundtable series of meetings that allows business owners and their employees the opportunity to discuss pertinent topics, learn from local industry leaders and, most importantly, learn from each other.
There is no cost to attend and a continental breakfast is included.
Topic: "What Smart Employers Need to Know: The Top Employment Cases of the 2018 Supreme Court Term (and Other Timely Topics!)"
Presented by:
Attorney Brian G. Formella
Anderson O'Brien Law Firm
About the Program: Join with Attorney Brian Formella as he facilitates a fast-paced review of the important state and federal cases from the just-completed 2018 term in topic areas such as disability discrimination, unemployment benefits, privacy, and agreements between employer and employee. The program is designed with the employer in mind--to reduce and manage business risk associated with the recent court and administrative decisions on a national and state level.
About our Speaker:
Brian Formella graduated from Marquette University with B.A. degrees in English and Economics and from Marquette University Law School with honors. After graduating, he was a Law Clerk to Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Louis J. Ceci. His areas of practice include employment and labor law, municipal law, environmental law, real estate and general business law. Brian has a strong legal background in employment, labor and municipal law. He works with employers to establish sound employment practices. He is also aggressively defended employers against discrimination accusations.
