Join us for our Women in Business Luncheon with special guest speaker:
Tonya Kowalski
Title of Presentation: "It is Time to Drop a Ball - Why Juggling Everything is Not Good for Your Mental Health"
Program Description: Two years ago, Tonya Kowalski took a $10,000 pay cut. By choice. You might ask yourself "why in the world would anyone do that???" At this Women in Business luncheon, you will learn the reasons behind that story, learn about how to decide what "compensation" really means, and understand how the old saying that "women hold up half the sky" in reality, often feels as though we hold up the entire sky.
Tonya will lead the attendees in facts about women's roles in the workforce and society both past and present, examine how women are tasked with juggling all aspects of life now more than ever, and the importance of maintaining balance to achieve your best mental health.
About our Speaker: Tonya Kowalski is a full-time professional, part-time pastor, and over-time mother. She understands the important and distinct challenges women have faced (and still face today!) in the workplace, in society, and in their homes.
She is excited to share some tips and insights which will guide you in:
- Focusing on your mental health.
- Finding extra time in your day.
- Funneling your energy into things that are restorative and that bring you joy.
- Feeling empowered (not guilty!) for dropping a ball...or two, or three.
Join us for this fun event which will leave you informed, engaged, and inspired to take control of your busy schedule! To add to the fun, door prizes will be handed out after the presentation, along with a 50/50 raffle winner announcement.
Please contact Karen Myers at 715-344-1940 or karenm@portagecountybiz.com if you have ideas or requests for future speakers or topics.
