AMERICAN AGRICULTURE APPRECIATION BANQUET -
MONDAY, MARCH 6, 2023

The American Agriculture Appreciation Banquet supports the successes of agri-business in Portage County.

Presentations are made to students and their leaders in categories including:

4-H Agriculture Leader of the Year Award - to be presented to Sara Hintz
4-H Leadership in Agriculture Award (youth) - to be presented to Cody Kaminski

Outstanding FFA Senior Awards from Amherst Hight School - Jacob Gibbs, Rosholt High School - Jalyn Yenter, and Stevens Point Area Senior High School - Brooke Mallek

Agri-Business Scholarship Recipient - Brooke Mallek

Location of Event: Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center, 1001 Amber Avenue, Stevens Point, WI

Dinner: Garden Salad with Ranch Dressing, Grilled Pork Loin with Door County Tart Cherry Sauce, Baked Potato, Green Beans, Grandma's Biscuit with Strawberries for Dessert and Coffee, Tea and Milk.

An assorted, complimentary appetizer buffet will also be served with items donated by our local Agri-Businesses.

Guest Speaker:

Tamas Houlihan, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association (WPVGA)

Tamas will be presenting "WPVGA Environmental Overview". We will be hearing about the WPVGA focusing on their core programs in the areas of research, education, promotion and governmental affairs. His presentation will also highlight their key environmental initiatives.
