Special Guest Speaker is Casey Demers, Director of Business Development from The Boldt Company
About our Speaker: As Director of Business Development for The Boldt Company, Casey leads Boldt's client engagement, sales, and growth initiatives for their central and northern Wisconsin markets. She plays a significant role in their client-centered culture, building strong relationships and partnerships, while engaging as brand ambassador in the communities Boldt serves.
Casey received her BA in Political Science & Spanish from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, and a MA in Political Science & Public Administration from Northwestern Illinois University. She has held Business Development leadership roles within the commercial furniture, interiors, and construction industries for over 16 years. Casey helps drive Boldt's strategic vision through creativity, innovation and engagement and has spent the majority of her career within the built environment. Her experience and insight help her create meaningful collaboration with clients, industry partners and the community. Casey is an active member of the communities she serves including: Board Member for the Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce, Board Member for Everest Area Optimists, Board Member for Wausau Events, a placemaking committee member for The Wausau River District, and past Board Member of CREATE Portage County.
About Casey's Program: "Thriving in a Gender Bias Industry: Stepping Up and Stepping In". As a "woman in construction" Casey finds it invaluable to share what a role in this industry means, as well as all others in a non-traditional gender biased role or industry. Specifically, the construction industry as a whole recently celebrated 1 million women in the construction industry for the FIRST TIME EVER, over 14% in the industry!
Take-aways from Casey's Program:
- The missing 33%: What is it and how do we close the gap?
- Stepping Up & In: Here We Come: the data and the impact women are making today in all areas of leadership.
- We've Got This...And Each Other: the importance of mentorship and networking to lift and lead one another.
"In short, we as women leaders, moms, sisters, and friends contribute a unique blend of skills, compassion, and strategic thinking that can transform workplaces, making them more resilient, inclusive, and innovative", stated Casey Demers.
Delicious Lunch consisting of TBA and Dessert. Also served with Coffee, Ice Tea and Water with Lemon Wedges.
