Join us for the Women in Business Luncheon on September 25, 2014 as the Ministry Breast Center Team Presents: “More Than A Mammogram”.
Every October communities across the country bring a collective awareness to Breast Cancer. Ministry Breast Care Center encourages women and their support people to keep a vigil for breast health all year, and especially during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
One in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, but when diagnosed early, the five year survival rate is 98%. Breast cancers diagnosed at an early stage often involve fewer procedures, have better outcomes and have lower costs. Screening mammograms may be able to detect breast cancers up to 4 years before they are palpable, thus allowing patients much earlier treatment.
Busy women don't have to neglect their health. With walk-in time slots for screening mammograms, available funding and patient navigators, early detection can help save a life.
Hear from the Ministry Breast Care Center team on options and Breast Cancer Survivor, Kim Hodgson and her husband Steve, about their personal story.
More Than A Mammogram – a story about strength, support, options and hope.
