We want to share an exciting opportunity with you!
Ready, Set, Cook! is a hands-on cooking course designed to help people with disabilities learn how to cook safely, build confidence in the kitchen, and develop independent living skills.
This is a 6-week, in-person cooking program where you will actively prepare food, learn how to use kitchen tools safely, and practice real-life cooking skills in a supportive, supervised environment.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll gain skills in:- Kitchen safety and emergency response
- Safe knife use and kitchen tools
- Food sanitation and cleanliness
- Cooking temperatures and food safety
- Meal planning and preparation
- Cooking full meals independently
Who Can Join
You may be eligible if you:- Are age 16 or older
- Have an intellectual, cognitive, or developmental disability
- Are enrolled in CCS, CLTS, IRIS, or Family Care
Caregivers, parents, and guardians are welcome to attend at no extra cost to support learning and practice at home.
