Description
Designed for service professionals, this workshop places students within a role in a hypothetical company experiencing operational trouble in more than a few areas. Together we will go through the process of identifying and scoping an improvement project, visualizing the end-to-end workflow, and implementing improvements targeted at streamlining the process.
This workshop is perfect for people who heavily utilize computers and/or work in service or transaction- based roles (sales, customer service, insurance, healthcare, banking, estimating, engineering, contracting, education, finance, etc.).
Students will:
- Learn to apply a core set of Lean Six Sigma tools in a risk-free, simulated environment.
- Learn how to identify waste and eliminate inefficiencies when the workflow is “invisible” (i.e., those “non-manufacturing processes”).
- Broaden their awareness of Lean Six Sigma: What it is, why it matters, and how it is utilized.
- Learn how to use proven Lean Six Sigma tools to be able to start simplifying their work and implementing improvements.
